While also a Hawaiian island, Māui is a hero in Polynesian mythology and a trickster in Greek mythology. It is also what Kevin has decided to name the newest addition to our family. (Oh, did I mention that I got married? Oops.)
Our Māui has the same origins as Guzu in that they are from the same bird store! We brought her home and she's been learning quickly ever since. (We think it's a she. Who knows). When not imitating Guzu, Māui is following him around. I cannot wait for her wings to grow out - air raids in our apartment! Yes, I know that we're probably the only crazies that excited at that prospect. But, on the up side, we've become really good at cleaning poop. True story.
